B&B ‘De Jongens’ is within walking distance of the beach at Rockanje. The area is full of scenic beauty and offers plenty of things to do.

Oostvoorne
The town of Oostvoorne lies 5 km from Rockanje. A lovely, picturesque nature reserve called ‘De Tennellenplas’ stretches across the area between the two towns; stop by their visitors’ centre and become one with nature! In the same area, just barely within Rockanje really, you’ll also find the historical society known as ‘De Duinhuisjes’. There you can see how people lived here on the island a century ago.
Brill
The fortified town of Brill (Brielle in Dutch) has a rich and storied past. Each year on 1 April, the town celebrates its liberation from the Spanish occupation in 1572. This is a great time to visit: it’s almost like being part of history yourself! And Brill is a must-see attraction even on the other 364 days of the year, too. The historical museum, the Sint-Catharijnenkerk, the shops, and of course the many restaurants and café terraces are definitely worth a visit.
Hellevoetsluis
Hellevoetsluis is the other fortified town near the bathing resort of Rockanje. Here, you’ll find the Stuytse Hoeck shopping centre, quite popular with the locals on Voorne-Putten. There are also several nice museums that are well worth your time, including Historyland and the Brandweermuseum (fire brigade museum).
