Rockanje and the surrounding area have beautiful walking and cycling routes.
In addition, there is a rich environment of activities for the villages:
Oostvoorne
The town of Oostvoorne is located 5 km from Rockanje. Between Oostvoorne and Rockanje there is a beautiful nature reserve, De Tenellenplas, where you can become one with nature at the visitor center. The historical association De Duinhuisjes is also located in that area, which is actually still officially in Rockanje. There you can see how people lived on Voorne in the last century.
Brielle
The fortified town of Brielle has a rich history. On April 1, you will feel like you are in the time of the Spanish occupation. A great day to experience up close. Brielle is also a place you should visit on other days of the year. The historic museum, the Catharijnenkerk, the shops and of course the many restaurants and terraces are definitely worth a visit.
Hellevoetsluis
Hellevoetsluis is the second fortified town near the seaside resort of Rockanje. There you will find the Stuytse Hoeck Shopping Center, which is very popular on Voorne-Putten. There are also a number of nice museums that are worth a visit, such as Historyland and the Fire Museum.
We have listed a few for you. If you come to stay with us, we will have a beautiful glossy ready for you in your room where you can take a look at everything.

Historyland
Join us on an adventure back tens of millions of years, to the time of the dinosaurs. Or to the last ice age where, shivering from the cold, you come face to face with a life-size mammoth, cave bear or saber-toothed cat.
Futureland
In FutureLand you come face to face with the development of Rotterdam’s newest port area. Maasvlakte 2 not only shows you the world’s most modern container terminals and largest seagoing vessels, but also the latest innovations in offshore. Curious about other Rotterdam port developments?
Neeltje Jans
Rockanje is located on the edge of Zeeland. Great opportunity to spend a day there too. The villages of Zeeland are beautiful to visit and if you want to know more about the flood of 1953, Neeltje Jans is the place where you can absorb that history.
